Wednesday, January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day as well as the 5th anniversary of the death of our dear friend Survivor, Henry Oertelt. To honor Henry, we have decided to put our short, Becoming Henry, online for all to see and share for the first time after a successful two and a half year festival run in cities from Los Angeles to Manhattan. If you are so moved, please comment, share and most of all, consider donating to one of the Holocaust museums listed below.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is building a world class facility called the Shapell Collections & Conservation Center to house important artifacts from the Holocaust. They predict that within the next ten years, their collection will more than double. Writer/Producer Stephanie Silverman Houser has recently joined their South Florida Business-Professional Advisory Committee. Learn more here. #RescueTheEvidence

The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust was our short film’s fiscal sponsor. They are the oldest Holocaust museum in the United States with one of the newest buildings, where Houser was a docent.

The Holocaust Documentation and Education Center is a brand new museum coming to Dania Beach in South Florida. Houser volunteers there as well.
